RICKY SKAGGS & HIS ENTIRE GREAT BAND, KENTUCKY THUNDER CONTINUES TO GIVE US WONDERFUL SUPPORT LIVE AND ON RECORDINGS.  WHAT CAN WE SAY ABOUT HOW HAPPY IT MAKES US THAT THEY KEEP ON PICKIN' BOURGEOIS GUITARS.  

Ricky Skaggs has been a wonderful inspiration and an immense help to us over the years. His performances have cheered us on at times when we have gone to hear him or we've  flipped on the TV and watched as every guitar player in his band knocked it out of the park on a Bourgeois Guitar. I once went early to a show to see him and was amazed to count 5 Bourgeois guitars sitting on their stands just waiting for the band to come out! October 2004: RICKY SKAGGS got a Brand New Bourgeois OM to go with his fine new CD:  "Brand New Strings" !

Dana had lunch with Ricky  and Cody Kilby recently when Kentucky Thunder played in Maine. Ricky told him that he'd been hankering for a nice OM size guitar.  So, we built him one. Here are pictures of the Custom OM we sent him.

We started a twin to this guitar thinking someone would love to have it.  Built right along side Ricky's guitar, we figure the "twin" will have to sound just a good...  and Ricky's is awesome. 

By the way, Cody Kilby told Dana that his Brazilian Vintage D is the best guitar he has ever owned. I think he is gonna get a Slope D next.

Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder Record Live Album. 

Ricky's new record, a live recording with Kentucky Thunder is HOT. I'm listening to an advance copy and can tell you first hand: put your orders in now! This is Kentucky Thunder's first all-live album. It was recorded in Charleston, South Carolina on November 1 & 2, 2002. "Live" From the Charleston Music Hall is scheduled for release on March 25th.

We are really pleased to announce that Cody Kilby played his Bourgeois Vintage Dreadnought with Brazilian back and sides on this CD. If you haven't heard Cody yet - you will just shake your head and wonder where Ricky finds these amazing young players.
