Clancy’s disciplined solo guitar playing is a
revelation…solo debut’s don’t come more well rounded than
this.****" – Siobhan Long, The Irish Times
We are very proud to say that Dónal Clancy plays a Slope
D, JOMC, OM and a Vintage D. He's a brilliant young player
born in Ireland and now living in the U.S.
In 1995 Dónal co-founded the group Danú,
but departed soon after to tour with his father Liam
Clancy and cousin Robbie O’Connell. In 1998, he moved to the
U.S. and became involved in the Irish-American music scene playing
mostly with The Eileen Ivers Band and later the group Solas.
The YouTube below is from Dónal's
Workshop & Concert on November 15, 2008 at Acoustic Music.org in Connecticut.
Thanks to
Trip Wyeth and Brian Wolf.
