Carter
Gravatt of Carbon Leaf.
"Carter Gravatt plays electric and acoustic guitars, mandolin and sings as part of the Richmond Virginia quintet,
Carbon Leaf.
This has got to be one of the hardest working bands out there. In the two years that we have worked with Carter, the band has toured virtually non-stop up and down the east coast, playing to sold out crowds and has criss-crossed the country many times.
They have toured with Dave Matthews, John Mayer and Counting Crows
this past year.
Carter has an OMC a Slope D and his trusty Country Boy. He had
a great and beloved Vintage D that some creep stole from a
show... The OMC is all over the new studio record that
will be out soon.

Carter says: "... I am really stoked on is my relationship with Bourgeois guitars...These guys build the best acoustic guitars that I have ever played (they are not pointing a gun to my head).
Dana Bourgeois built the guitar that I have been playing for the last two years and used for Echo. I'm really happy with the new ones as well.
They hooked me up with the guys from LR Baggs, who are doing all of
the electronics for my acoustic instruments. "

The music of Carbon Leaf crosses a lot of genres. Rock, pop, celtic
to name some ... Acoustic
& electric guitars, mandolin, electric and double bass, drums, four part harmonies and powerful
lyrics. |
Their energy, attitude and diversity sets them apart
in an industry where many fear to play what is in their
hearts. These guys are making it up and making something
new! Check out a show when they cruise through your town...
and they will be in your town!
They have five
independent CD's and are getting ready to sign with a label soon to
be announced . Their latest is the live CD pictured below.
