The Anaheim NAMM SHOW.  January 2008

We had a great time at the 2008 Anaheim NAMM show.  Wish we could have seen you all.

The guitars were beautiful and well received.  You can see pictures of them here.   Below are pictures of some of our dealers, artists and friends that stopped by the booth.

Thanks for looking!

First of all, we'd like to congratulate a few great Bourgeois shops:

The Bourgeois "Dealer of the Year" award went to  Steve Miklas of Acoustic Music Works in Pittsburgh PA.  What a shop !  What a guy!  He's been the top shop for us for 2 years in a row.  Thank you Steve.

And the award for "International Dealer of the Year" for the 2nd year in a row goes to Dave Wren and Grant MacNeill of The Twelfth Fret, Toronto, Ontario.  They love our guitars and have a wonderful shop.  They also have one of the best websites out there.

(Dana, Dave & Grant)

We also need to thank our Japanese Distributor, Rokkomann International for believing in our guitars, and for working so hard to bring them to their part of the world.   Visit them to see some great guitars.

(Dana, Seki and Shotaro)

We love our dealers.  We search high and low to find great shops that will take good care of our guitars and take the best care of you, our customers.  Here are some of the dealers that visited us:

Trip Wyeth and Brian Wolf from Acoustic Music.org in Connecticut.

Dana with Chris Jovanelli from Mainely Music in Ellsworth Maine.

Here's me with the Dave of West Chester Music, West Chester PA.  He stopped by with Tom Wade.

Dana & Gayl Swinehart, Fretted Products in
Glendora CA.  (Love the new beard Gayl !)

Dana & Jeff Looker from Acoustic Vibes Music in
Tempe, Arizona.

The award for the biggest smile goes to Stan Burg, our
dealer in Albuquerque, NM.

Here's Mike Onofrio from our shop with one of
our newest dealers, Dana Flood from Musician's
Choice in Augusta Maine.  Check out the wood on
the back of the Country Boy Extra Deluxe !

Here's Dana with Kevin Kinnear from the mighty
Buffalo Brothers shop in Carlsbad California !

From Mountain Music Shoppe in Shawnee
Kansas came Grady & Jim Curley.  They have
some great concerts at their shop.

We also got in a good visit with our Italian
Distributors, 440zh.  The picture shows Massimo,
Dana and Andrea.

We welcomed some new dealers at this show:

Tim Nelson of Guitars, Etc dropped by to play all
of the NAMM guitars and we were very happy to welcome Guitars Etc in Longmont Colorado.  We met owner Todd Skaw and Louis too !

Dana showed  Kristen Jones, Erik Sharar & David
Eisner  the folks from The House of Musical
Traditions in Takoma Park Maryland the NAMM
guitars. House of Musical Traditions will start
carrying our  guitars beginning late March.  We are excited to be in this well-loved  Maryland shop.

We also welcome Terry Tan from The
Guitar Gallery in Singapore.  Mr. Tan will
purchased the DBJC from us at the shop and
will receive more guitars starting April.

We are happy to also announce these new Bourgeois Dealers.  Sorry we didn't get pictures:

The Music Emporium  in Lexington MA.  Thank you and a big welcome to Joe Caruso and Stu Cohen.  This is a great shop and we are happy for the opportunity to hang our guitars there!

Different Strummer / Old Town School of Music in Chicago.  Wish we would have had a picture with Tony Polecastro and the folks at that fine shop.

Acoustic Guitars & Music, Seoul South Korea.  Welcome to our friend, Sockgoo Choi.

Of course, there are always plenty of artists and friends visiting at the show.  Here are a few that visited.

Michael Britt, Bourgeois owner and lead guitar player of Lonestar stopped by and treated us to some playing on the new Square head version of the Short Scale Slope D.

Songwriter & Multi- instrumentalist  extraordinaire, Harvey Reid.  Harvey played his Bourgeois all over the new beautiful 4 CD Boxed Set called The Song Train he released this year with his wife Joyce Anderson.  Check it out here:   http://www.songtrain.net/  .  It's a wonderful collection of 56 songs.

And it is always great to hear our friend and Bourgeois endorser Scott Fore play our guitars.  Scott is one of the finest players in the world and we are proud that he loves his Bourgeois guitars.  Check out his Hillbilly HotClub at www.myspace.com/thehillbillyhotclub

We also were pleased to meet Trace Bundy.

“Acoustic solo guitarist Trace Bundy, sometimes called the Acoustic Ninja, has been getting a lot of attention lately -- he just won first place in "Guitars on the River," a Colorado guitar competition in which his maverick style and mind-erasing chops beat out some of Colorado's best classical players. His newest material is so gorgeously outside of the box; Trace extracts gasps and hurts egos everywhere he plays.”
Tim Thornton, Newcomers Home

Here is Trace with the Custom JOMC Redwood top and Seki our Japanese Distributor.  You can learn more about  Trace at www.tracebundy.com

And finally, here is a picture of me with my old pal, Matthew Nelson (Ozzie & Harriet's Grandson :)

Thanks for your interest in our guitars.  Support your local music store whenever possible and whatever else seems hard to do, keep playing!
