Keith Sewell  has been some kinda busy lately.   In between touring, he has been working on a solo record to be released in July by Skaggs Family Records.  It features his original songs.  Keith called to say that he is loving his new Country Boy Deluxe and used it extensively on the new CD.  Featured Musicians include-Jerry Douglas, Sam Bush, Ricky Skaggs, Andy Leftwich, Byron House and Scott Vestal.  

A Texas native,  Keith was a member of Ricky Skaggs'  Kentucky Thunder band for several years, playing banjo, mandolin, acoustic and electric guitar.  He has toured with many artists, including The Dixie Chicks on their Top of the World tour.   

Keith penned the title track for Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder's Grammy winning CD, "Brand New Strings" .  Recently,  he recently finished up working on the new Jerry Douglas solo CD and he can be seen this summer on the road with Sam Bush. 

If you have yet to see this great guitar player, you can check him out at MerleFest this year where he will be playing with Sam Bush AND Jerry Douglas!  Doesn't get much better than that.
