Serial # 4000.  A Milestone of a Bourgeois guitar!

Milestones are like major birthdays, some more meaningful than others, but all worthy of note and celebration.  We are proud to share with you that this month that we have just built serial #4000.  It was a stunning Brazilian and Adirondcack DS-260 with Style 42 Abalone top border.  The sunburst, like all of our sunbursts, was sprayed by Dana.  Jere Cherryholmes, of the hot bluegrass group The Cherryholmes , bought the guitar.

Serial # 000001 was built in 1993 so it has taken us 13 years to get to #4000.  We now build around 400 guitars per year which puts us in a pretty exclusive category. At this level we enjoy making each and every guitar look and sound great, deserving of the Bourgeois name on the headstock.    We're sure you'll also enjoy seeing a picture of all the folks that work with Dana in the shop.  Every day this group works diligently and enthusiastically to build the best guitars they can.
