Sprayed personally by Dana Bourgeois.Our BK slope shouldered dreadnought is only about 1/4" wider than a standard dreadnought, but what a difference!
The BK Slope D features Premium Bearclaw Sitka Spruce and Figured Mahogany back and sides. This guitar is a replica of the famous guitar built for Bryan Sutton that he dubbed "The Banjo Killer". Like the original it features Ivoroid body binding on the neck and body but with no binding on the Headstock . The fingerboard and belly bridge are beautiful Ziricote wood . The pickguard is Hand Made in the style of Bryan's original Banjo Killer and the bridge pins are Ebony with Abalone dots. Nickel Waverly tuners.

" The BK Slope D known as the Banjo Killer has a deep, broad tone. Through wood selection and voicing, we push it in the direction of a bigger bottom end, a "lush" top end, and greater volume, similar to the characteristics of Bryan's original Banjo Killer. When I first started making slope shouldered Dreadnoughts, I went for something as different as possible from the balanced and focused sound of my standard Dreadnought. The Banjo Killer gets me back to that original idea."
