Photo shows the first 4 Brazilian Country Boy LC5's
in progress.
After stringing up #1 of 10 Dana said: "this guitar sounds great"
and when he strung up the next he said "wow, this guitar sounds
just as good!", so we're thinking we hit a home-run with this
limited edition.
Great
tone. Great price. Limited Edition of 10. Brazilian
Back & Sides. Adirondack Top. Signed and numbered by Dana Bourgeois. They feature Brazilian Rosewood back and sides and
an
Adirondack Spruce top. The headstock has a Brazilian veneer with Nickel
Waverly Tuners. The rest of the specs match our much admired Country Boy guitar:
Tortoise body binding, tiny dot inlays, High Gloss body, Ivoroid bridge and
end pins, Bone nut and saddle and a Custom Hardshell case.
The Brazilian rosewood used on the LC5 is a bit lighter in color
and weight
than we usually see. But, it has the clear, balanced, dry, in-your-face
kind of tone needed for a large ensemble like a bluegrass band, where the
guitar has to compete with banjo, fiddle and mandolin for audibility.
