The "Ella Rose" Bourgeois Custom DB Jumbo

(For larger view.  Use back button to return to page.)

The "Ella Rose" guitar was built for a little girl named Ella Rose.  Her Granfather commissioned it for her through Wildwood Music in Ohio .

Here is Ella Rose with her Grandfather, Rodger.  It looks like it won't be long before she herself is playing.

We were so excited to be asked to build this one-of-a-kind beautiful piece.

The DB Jumbo
Redwood top and Presentation Grade Brazilian Back and Sides.  The Brazilian is straight grained and top and back were picked to deliver a guitar that would work great for Fingerstyle but also be able to take a flat-pick.

This is a guitar of "firsts" for us.  It is the first time have offered an inlay this complex.  It is  also the first DB Jumbo we have built with Style 42 top border.

The Ella Rose inlay is a masterful example of the art of hand inlaying.   Each piece of the inlay is individually cut.  There is no engraving at all.  This way it can never be sanded through during any fret work that may occur through the years.  Even the tiny Ella Rose is actual shell.

Triple Bound Figured Koa Body, neck and headstock binding.  Gotoh 510 Tuners.  Bone pins.
