#4315. The BK (Banjo Killer) Slope D with Pale Sunburst. Premium Bearclaw Sitka Spruce and Quilted Sapele Mahogany. This guitar is inspired by the famous guitar built for Bryan Sutton that he dubbed "The Banjo Killer". Just like the original, it features Ivoroid body & neck binding and an unbound Brazilian Rosewood Headstock veneer, Ebony pins with Abalone dots.  Custom Firestripe pickguard.   Brazilian Fingerboard and Brazilian Belly bridge. This one features Dana's beautiful Custom Pale Sunburst. Dana says: " The BK Slope D has a deep, broad tone. Through wood selection and voicing, we push it in the direction of a bigger bottom end, a "lush" top end, and greater volume, similar to the characteristics of Bryan's original BK. When I first started making slope shouldered Dreadnoughts, I went for something as different as possible from the balanced and focused sound of my standard Dreadnought. The Banjo Killer gets me back to that original idea."  Call The Twelfth Fret to learn more or listen to a sound sample !  P.S. This one was photographed to be used in an upcoming ad. See your guitar in a magazine!  SOLD
#4336. Custom OMS 12 Fret Slot head. Adirondack & Pao Rosewood & Floral Inlay. Someone sent me a picture of a beautiful OMS that Dana built several years ago. It had his Floral inlay on the fingerboard and I thought it was so elegant and just a perfect addition to the model. We've put it on this guitar. Also, this will be our 4th guitar out of the wonderful Pao Rosewood stash that we discovered. This very old rosewood delivers some great tone.  I asked Dana for his thoughts about this wood and here is what he said:

"Pao Rosewood is an african wood that looks a bit like Honduran Rosewood. Tonally it's in the same general category as Brazilian, Madagascar, Honduran Rosewood and Cocobolo. Within each of these species there is considerable variation in tone qualities, with condiderable overlapping between species. A good set of Pao can sound a lot like Brazilian Rosewood, or can have something unique that is rarely found in Brazilian. It can also be said that a lot of Brazilian Rosewood sounds more like some of the other species than like other sets of Brazilian. In the end, it all comes down to whether or not you like the sound of the guitar."

SOLD.

#4343. Country Boy Extra Deluxe.  Silky, creamy Red " Adirondack " Spruce and Figured Mahogany. Square headstock with a Brazilian Rosewood veneer. 1 23/32" nut width. The Extra Deluxe part is the Cocobolo binding on the Head neck and body and the gorgeous tight curl on the mahogany back and sides. The headstock binding has  Black/White purfling for a subtle something extra. The tuners are Nickel Waverlies with Snakewood buttons. With an Abalone rosette and Dana Bourgeois backstrip. Tiny dot inlay. Premium pickguard. Bone bridge & end pins. Call Martin Music to reserve.  SOLD
#4338. Custom JOM with Cutaway. Redwood top and Figured Walnut back and sides. Square headstock with Brazilian Rosewood Veneer. This guitar is simply, but elegantly appointed just like the DBJC.
