Nine Custom Bourgeois Guitars made especially for the 2004 Nashville NAMM show.
NAMM is a very creative time for us. We get to build some of the special things that we have been day-dreaming about all year long.
This NAMM show is no exception. The guitars built are the choice of our luthier, Dana Bourgeois--some are one of a kind, some are the first of a new model. They have unique and beautiful custom details. If you think I'm kidding, check out the JOMC Harlequin pictured above and below!

#5725. The OM Presentation LC6. Limited Edition. #3 of 10.
Talking to Les & Tim of Blue Moon Music in Arkansas one day, I asked if they could order anything at all from us for the Nashville NAMM show, what would it be and they replied: "An LC6 Presentation only with an OM shaped body." That was just fine with us. This will be a splendid addition to this Series of 10. Click on the photos to get a better look at the detail on this guitar. The Presentation fingerboard is real Mother of Pearl with Abalone inlay. Although we began this Limited Edition in January, we have only just recently found the wood for #3 of 10. We believe this is some of the very best and most unique tonewood to be found. The back and sides are a four piece Brazilian flitch match with the sapwood on the back upper bout matched by twin spots on the sides. It is really quite unusual. The Premium Adirondack top shows plenty of Bearclaw. Bearclaw Adirondack is increasingly difficult for us to find so we were really pleased with this top.
Specs: Bearclaw Adirondack "Red" Spruce. 5A Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. Ivoroid body bindings. Abalone rosette. Abalone top border and Ivoroid body bindings. Certified Mammoth Ivory Pyramid style bridge. Mammoth Ivory nut and saddle. Greven pickguard. The nut is 1 3/4. Gold Engraved Waverly tuners. Brazilian Presentation headstock veneer. This is our first JOM and the voice of this guitar is different than any other body shape that we make. It is hard to hear at a NAMM show because there is so much noise, so we had to wait till after 6PM when everyone went home to hear this guitar. What a big, open sound.
Most folks had to be told the back was Madagascar, after seeing and hearing the guitar, they just assumed it was Brazilian! Go see this guitar. Let me know if it doesn't have a great voice. Plus, I think we hit a home-run appointing it like our Vintage D. Simple & elegant.

#5727 The Country Boy Deluxe. We got to hear Bryan Sutton play his Country Boy Deluxe at the NAMM show. He did a set with the "All Star Bluegrass Band" and the great John Jorgenson. Any doubts that this guitar is THE great guitar of the year were blown completely by the wayside!
