sides with back and side purfling, and the original Soloist style cutaway. Long pattern Squares &
Diamonds inlay with our Soloist Triangle inlay on the
heel. Bone pins and end pin. 2 5/16 Pyramid bridge with a 1 3/4 inch nut. Gold Waverly tuners. Maintaining the spirit of the original
Soloist, I have combined only the finest woods with the simplest of
appointments, most notably Brazilian rosewood body bindings

The CS-JOM. The Bourgeois Celtic Style JOM is
designed and voiced for full, ring-y, woody-toned tambres,
lingering overtones and a snappy attack. We think this is the
ideal tonal signature for a variety of Celtic guitar styles,
including fingerstyle in DADGAD and other open tunings as well
as "bouzouki-style" rhythm. The CS-JOM's
Gaelic temperament results from the unique combination of a
Western Red Cedar top and flamed Black Walnut back and sides
on a medium-sized body, and bracing modifications developed
specially for this model. This distinctive guitar is further
enhanced by a new Celtic Knot fretboard inlay designed by
Dana, inspired by border designs from the "Book of Kells"
and executed in certified Mammoth Ivory. Additional

#5872. The Petite
Jumbo. New for 2005. This is a guitar
that we have been experimenting with for a couple of years and
the few prototypes that have made it out of our shop have been
treasured by their lucky owners. We are pleased to
finally offer this guitar as a model. With its
"small", 16" jumbo outline, the Petite Jumbo
represents a significant development in the Bourgeois line.
Variations of this body style have traditionally graced a
variety of guitars including smaller archtops, rhythm
workhorses for accompaniment of singers like the Everly
Brothers, and more recently, fingerstyle guitars for virtuoso
solo performers. Specifically configured to suit the latter,
the Bourgeois PJ combines Italian Spruce and Madagascar
Rosewood to produce a full, rich tonal palette with a
medium-wide 1/34" nut and a powerful 25.5" scale.
The new PJ has two new
structural modifications including an X – braced back to
enhance lower register articulation, and the use of a single
tone bar (instead of the usual two) to accelerate response. In
the tradition of fine, handmade fingerstyle guitars the Petite
Jumbo is bound in darker woods, using curly koa on the body in
combination with abalone top border/rosette and multiple side
purflings. The ebony headstock and un-inlaid ebony fretboard
are bound in dark rosewood and subtly highlighted by a single
line of white purfling for an clean, understated look. Further
appointments include bone pins, Bourgeois style backstrip and
Gold Waverly tuners.
